![]() ![]() Originally posted by Travis:I rather use A/c 20 over gauss rifle, lighter ton and more damage. hell, it's probably a better value to pick Locust parts than AC/20s when I already have more than enough, if for some reason an assassination target has his personal assistant in a Locust. I'd rather engage them from as far away as possible because the slight possibility of whiffing a close-range attack and letting them get a miraculous double AC/20 headshot or w/e is not worth the salvage of a whopping two almost certainly perfectly ordinary AC/20s that I'd have to be completely insane to bother picking up compared to even. If I get another one, I'll have to see whether I've got enough ++dam SRM launchers for an infighter.ħ33B is basically designated marskman, with Gauss rifle and a PPC++ (and some MLs and SRMs for cases where enemies rush or spawn in close range) with +30 stb damage, usual pilot has Bulwark and Breaching Shot.ĭid I mention that I hate demolishers? I hate them with the burning hatred of a thousand suns surrounded by a myriad orbiting fusion bombs. I've got a plain 733 that's basically an LRM launcher, for +stb damage handy for setting up knockdowns or for indirect fire on assault turrets etc. Max armour with 2 points taken off the CRT (135) You can soak evasion counters with punching things though.) (edit: this build doesn't give you any options to assist in soaking evasion counters since you'll be generating way too much heat using your LLAS or firing off vital/critical ammo stores only to be doing bugger all damage. Very important note: this is a facepunch build, not a turret fester. ![]() It's no 'Hawk, but can dish out more pain and facepunching than the Hawk. This one can play like a brawler and as a morbidly obese striker. Use: Same as with the 733 - buddy up and join the congo line of roflstomping. Max amour with 2 points taken off the CRT (135) for the 10th HS As with all my builds, I build them to work in a pair since two guns are better than one. The 4x MLAS build runs a lot cooler but of course that probability to hit RNGesus likes to screw you around sometimes. She does run hot as the LLAS build and needs patience although its not as hot as the 733 build I posted above. ![]() Rather then going PPC heavy, I opted for a twin LLAS striker sort of setup for one build and the other is 4x MLAS. I ended up chucking a gunbunny pilot with breaching shot into this one - worked quite well Conversely, if evasion counters don't bother you then you can drop the 2x MLAS for 2x HS) (edit: forgot to mention, the MLAS are used for soaking up evasion counters in the sintance you don't have someone with sensor lock, or your need to split fire evasion counter soak. DFA lights and mediums, laugh as you crush these peasants under your mighty boots, but be mindful of how much leg damage you take - once you lose a leg you're basically a turret. The flamer gives its melee a little bit of a bite, but not much when compared to other pyromaniacal mechs like the firestarter. Can melee like a pro and roflstomps a bass drop like a winner. Pairs well with a gunbunny Victor or a BFG Battlemaster. It can take a pounding but works well in a battle pair. She's slow but the JJ's give it some scope to get up into more advantageous firing positions on top of buildings or hills. Max armour with 2 points taken off the CRT (135) for the 4th HS Takes a bit of management (and patience hold up there sparky, thats enough missiles for now, how about you just punch them in the face to cool down). I find this to be a good brawler partner for both a Victor and a Battlemaster, but shes runs very hot. ![]()
